This weeks Artist Spotlight is SEPY 
Where are you based?
I was born in Tehran,Iran and I’m currently living there.
How did you first get into music?
When I was about 14 years old I watched a video of a Linkin Park concert and I was hooked to the sound and the genre and Electric Guitar. After that I started listening to other bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Dream Theater and many more.
Do you play any instruments?
Yes I’ve been playing Guitar specially Electric Guitar for about 12 years. Other than that I can also play piano but I’m an amateur. Somehow I can make sound with anything haha.
Describe your music style
My music style is the combination of the genres that I love. I have a strong rock and metal background and most of the times my main focus is on electric guitar. I also love sub genres of electronic music such as Future Bass and Progressive House and Big Room. You can say my music has literally no boundaries.
Who are you favorite artists?
My all time favourite band and the reason why I started music is Linkin Park. Other than that bands like Metallica and Dream Theater really had a huge impact on my style and sound. And in the realm of electronic music I can say Nicky Romero, Illenium and Martin Garrix are my main influences.
Who would your dream music collaboration be with?
There are many great artists that I’d love to collab with but I can say mainly Mike Shinoda, James Hetfield, Illenium, Halsey.
What are your favorite VST / Synths or programs in general to use when producing your music?
I love and use Studio One as my DAW. I mostly try to make natural and organic sounds but my favourite VSTs are Omnisphere, Serum and Arturia synths which are amazing.
What interests or hobbies do you have outside of music?
Hanging out with friends, travelling as much as I can which has been so little lately haha, driving while listening to music, learning new things, watching videos related to music production or cars.
