This weeks Artist Spotlight is Evate 
Where are you based?
I'm based in Norway, in a city called 'Bodø'. I am planning on living here for some time. Bodø got it all: Mountains, nature, ocean, and the city.
How did you first get into music?
I LOVED rock-music as a kid, and I later started learning rock songs on my guitar. As I grew older I fell in love with electronic music, such as music from Kygo and Avicii, and decided to start making my own, though my music today is a little different from theirs.
Do you play any instruments ?
I play guitar, and use my own recordings in my songs. I do manage to play a little piano as well, but I don't really know how to play it.
Describe your music style ?
I don't like to think of my music as genre-specific, but I'd say it leans towards an 'electronic indie-pop' style, with a moody, blue, sobering vibe.
Who are you favourite artists?
Illenium, San Holo, Taska Black and Kygo are probably some of my all-time favorites, but right now I'm really into 'Koste', 'Zes' and 'Josh Golden'.
Who would your dream music collaboration be with?
My dream collaboration would probably be with Zes and Illenium.
What are your favorite VST / Synths or programs in general to use when producing your music?
My favourite plugins to use in general while producing are the PRO-Q3 EQ from Fabfilter, Decapitator from Soundtoys, and Camelcrusher from Camelaudio.
What interests or hobbies do you have outside of music?
Outside of music I love to work out, snowboarding, playing warzone with the boys, hiking, and do stuff together with my Australian Shepherd, 'Himmel' (Norwegian for heaven/sky))
