Hey DigitalTek. so where are you based?
Im based in Colchester, Essex, UK
What interests or hobbies do you have outside of music?
Music production is my main hobby but outside of that I like to do badminton and mountain biking too.
How did you first get into music?
I previously played the piano before learning FL Studio, when I became interested with how the music I listened to is made.
Describe your music style
My style is varied, covering multiple genres from Pop to DnB. However, it always carries a bit of the fundamental DigitalTek sound.
Who are some of your favorite artists?
Currently, my favourite artists are Circa Waves, Dimension and Atmozfears.
Who would your dream music collaboration be with?
My dream collab would probably be with Atmozfears, I love his detailed and atmospheric hardstyle sound.
This is a hard question as I've got so many artists that I take inspiration across all genres!
What are your favorite VST / Synths or programs in general to use when producing your music?
I've always been a Fl-studio fan since I started and don't plan on making a switch anytime soon. I think Kontakt has been great for adding "real" sounds to my music such as guitars, violins and pianos. Been experimenting with more distorted textures using guitar rig and trash2 recently.
How do you see your music evolving in the future? Are there any new directions or styles you'd like to explore?
I'm getting more into DnB this year, with plenty of new IDs lined up for release, and I have some new hardstyle and even some indie rock in the works. I'd also like to work with more vocalists who can help take some of these new ideas to the next level. I have some new tracks completed with other Bass Rebels artists EM and Shrivera, so keep an eye out for those in the future!
What has been the most memorable moment or experience in your music career so far?
My favourite music experience so far was being booked to DJ at Darren Styles headline event, Hard Generation in Brighton last year. It was great being able to play a mix of my own releases and my favourite songs live to a great crowd.
