Since 2017, Cryztal Grid has surged through the regional electronic music scene, infusing diverse bass genres with live saxophone and acoustic/electronic drums. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, they conquered the Midwest before settling in Denver, Colorado. With their sights on global reach, Cody (Colorado) and Gerrad (Ohio) blend their rhythmic and melodic talents into the self-titled "Rhythm Meets Melody," creating emotionally charged bass music. Their production and live shows forge connections, share experiences, and inspire joy.
Hey Cryztal grid. so where are you based?
Denver, Colorado
How did you first get into music?
Cody: I began playing the saxophone when I was 11. I began producing electronic music after seeing Skrillex in 2014 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Gerrad: I played drums in a nu metal band in highschool. Started producing when I met Cody.
Do you play any instruments?
Cody: Saxophone

Describe your music style
Emotionally charged melodic bass music.
Who are you favorite artists?
Cody: Skrillex, Zomboy, Big Gigantic
Gerrad: Zomboy, Skrillex, MUST DIE!, Snavs
Who would your dream music collaboration be with?
Skrillex
What are your favorite VST / Synths or programs in general to use when producing your music?
We use Ableton as our DAW. Our staple plugins are Serum, LFO Tool, Vahalla Room, Izotope Suite
What interests or hobbies do you have outside of music?
Cody: I'm an avid adventurer. I've run 7 ultramarathons (50km+) and have climbed 53 mountains above 12,000ft.
Gerrad: I'm an endurance obstacle course racer. Running and CrossFit are a huge part of my life. I also hike mountains and mountain bike with the occasional video game sprinkled in with the homies.
