This weeks Artist Spotlight
George Cooksey is a singer songwriter from the UK. He has always been into music from a young age. Growing up, his mum would regularly buy him cd albums that he would then play on repeat, writing out the lyrics from each track to read over and study.
He listened to a lot of classic pop artists such as: Daniel Bedingfield, Justin Bieber, One Republic, Chris Brown and others. Singing was always his first love and as it grew, he experimented more with creating and producing his own music.
Playing the piano and ukulele but his main focus is now primarily on the singing and songwriting aspect along with collaborating with various music producers along the way. A dream collaboration of his would be to work with Mazde.
Outside of music, he enjoys travelling with friends and eating. A multi-genre artist, ranging from EDM bangers such as “Happy” & “Satisfy”, to the more slow stripped back songs like “How Dumb Can I Be” and “Glimmer”.
If you have not heard George Cooksey's music yet then we highly recommend Daydream, Don't Let Me Down or his recent release Satisfy and if you like what you hear please give him a follow on his social medias https://www.bassrebels.co.uk/GeorgeCooksey
